personification? merely representation. Jesus was a person, therefore you can't personify him. |

This is not personification. |

Statues and figurines did not meet the challenge in my opinion, although your title states the truth. ;) |

Sorry, I see this sculpture as being a personification by the sculptor, not the photographer. Nice closeup of the figurine, though. |

I don't feel that statues meet the challenge. A good shot, the background is thrown out of focus nicely. Would maybe fit a challenge on Heroes or religion or something better. |

Not really a personification |

It's a statue with human attributes...? Sorry, I was marking some images with a basic comment in case I didn't get back to them.
This is an interesting image. A little bokeh working in the background, the statue is well focused - lighting might a little on the hot side. As for how this meets the challenge I still don't see it as I thought the subject was to be of a non-human looking inanimate object. This statue is very much human looking. |

I really don't consider a statue personification. More of an imitation. The image itself is good, could use a little better white balance, but I don't think it meets the challenge. |

maybe I'm too literal, but this doesn't comply with contest rules, "...non-human-looking but yet still shows human characteristics..." |

Does not meet the challenge, rules state: "Take a photo of something non-human-looking" |

Sorry, this doesn't meet the challenge, it's dead centered like a bullseye and it's just not interesting. If you want a crucifix such as this to work, put it against a solid black background, and use a directional light to illuminate it in an interesting fashion. The red of the frame is distracting as well. Not meaning to sound rude , but this just doesn't have much going for it. I apologize for my bluntness, but people with low scores want to be told why, so I'm stepping out and doing just that. Good luck next time. |

I believe the challenge calls for a non-human figure. The photo is well made, but at least to me it doesn't meet the challenge. |
