 A Wal-Mart lightning lamp taken through glass from below and illuminated by a 250 watt amber heat lamp.

It looked like it would make a good cover for Scientific American magazine.

Hmmm, this is interesting. I like it. The orange dots really detract from the rest of the spiral however. Get those out next time.

your title is too specific - If you had said just scientific americam this could have been anything scientific, by metioning DNA, then my mind thinks "well it doesn't exactly look like DNA to me".. best not to let any negative thoughts creep in to subtly affect your score. your image is lovely.

Wonderful abstract shot. One of the only ones in the challenge I think. I don't really like the red spots, they draw the eye away from your main subject matter.

This is pretty cool, almost doesn't look like a photograph. What are the red splotches here and there? the black on the bottom right is kind of annoying... I think cropping that out would have made it more of a vertical photo and fit it better to the theme. Not sure I care for the border, but I'm not usually big on borders.

Yes, I could definately see this on the cover of your magazine. There just seems to be some grainy noise that could possibly be easily cleaned up before you would send it to the editors for consideration.
