 This is Teodor Gherasim, a refugee from Communist Romania. I met him at a Polish Festival where he was selling his book, "Astride Two Worlds". His life was filled with prisons, torture, intrique and heartbreak yet his face depicts a very special and peaceful man. The book was a good read and the man was a good meet.
Photographically, I stripped the color out, increased contrast and sharpened slightly.

You described him perfectly - he does have a peace about him. Great expressive shot - Thanks for the story. I think the black and white really suits this shot. It makes you delve into his soul instead of the coloration. Nice job.
