I was off to Rome that week end... so I took the opportunity to upload one of the numerous shots that I did... and there you go.
One thing you need to know, the pic was taken with the standard Canon 18-55mm from the EOS 350... HOWEVER, the street was soo fucked up that the roof on top were actually curved, which definitely help in reinforcing the wide angle effect. Anyways, there you go, I just thought I like that pic.

Ok wow, after reading your description and seeing this was a standard 18-55mm that's just crazy. What an amazing find to see building that actually curve like that. The coloring of the building is a great force to have in this shot. the lighting really draws attention to the curves, I was wondering what it looked like in real life when I saw this in the challenge. Personally I scored you higher then you placed. I think between your angle and lighting the placement should have been higher. Great include of the street name to draw attentions to your nice lines in the image. I think your contrast also helps enhances the buildings themselves.

I'm not sure where to look - the angle seems to freak me out a little. Nice alley though!

I find the architecture in this photo interesting. By tilting your camera, I think you have actually taken away from the picture. It̢۪s harder to look at. Just my two cents. Good luck in the competition.

Fun and different photo... very artsy.. and I kind of like the fact that the sky is blown out... this almost looks like another world... it lends itself well to the "wide angle" look. Good luck.

GREAT perspective. I love it. Wish the sky were a tad bluer, but I love the tonality of the buildings.
