This will probably do pretty poor in the challenge and I am not entirely happy with this photo but it was the best of the day at 18mm (18-70mm DX).
I would have prefered stronger front elements, complemented with a suiting background. Therefore this is not what I had in mind. My main interest was also with the Reflections II challenge, for which I used the 30mm prime that sits on the camera most of the time.
This is "Het Grote Oost" (The Great East) in Hoorn. Once the street of the rich Eastindia traders and other rich families. The Foreest family was the richest and most influential.
There is a good chance that these are still one of the most expensive buildings in the old centre.
From here we are looking towards De Rode Steen (The Red Stone square) and the grey/yellow building is the Westfries Museum. Build in 1632.
The lighting was hard, it needed a lot of correction in pp. There is some distorion left, but also the buildings are a bit leaning over to the front.

Serious lean on those buildings. :( It could be a very interesting scene if shot from a slightly different angle/location. |

Nice natural colors and tones, but the buildings look as though they are about to fall over. |

Nice image; however, the perspective appears like the rows of buildings are going to crash into one another. I'm not sure, but I think being an advanced challenge, we possibly are allowed to correct perspective? |

The "leaning" of the buidlings created by the wide angle lens at an angle is overpowering. |

Great sense of line. I like the architecture. I might richen up the sky color just a bit. Great clarity and focus. |

The leaning building on the right is a bit scary :-) |
