wanted wider, but I don't have it!
Not the most obvious example of a wide angle shot (ie., this doesn't emphasize perspective distortion), but I do like the minimalism and texture.
the editing process on this is too lengthy to recount, but basically-
duplicate sky, set to multiply mode
dodge&burn the heck out of the tree
dodge&burn the grass
apply channel mixer (monochrome, 100/0/0, ~80% opacity)
resaturate the photo
extra saturation for greens in tree
more dodge&burn
slight gaussian blur on the edges
usm.
the difference between the end result and the original photo is extensive. i think it's probably still too dark for many, though.

| I love the tones of the land against the blue of the sky. The bush adds great interest to the composition. One of my favorites. Great job! :) |
