 Yep, this is my hand. I just set up the camera and the angle. I then layed on sand, raised my arm from the elbow, covered my arm in sand and took the photo. Simple enough, eh?

Of course, the inspiration of this photo is one of my fave show on tv "Lost".

blow out in top left corner is too much, and the rest is underexposed....i think not shooting in such harsh lighting or a different angle woulda helped.

Great idea! It's a bit hard to distinguish the hand from the sand at first, because of the position of the sun. But I like it!

Very cool. Love the idea of this. The sunlit area in the back is a tad to hot, but the rest of the image is quite good. Very imaginative.
