The weather worked against me in this challenge! I had to work completely indoors with total lack of artificial lighting because of power-outages and nothing but rain.

Best part of the shot was toasting to a better score when I was done! (Though, it was very very warm by then...)

First time playing with RAW also.

NeatImage again - set on REALLYHIGH! to get a slick/slippery feel. Like looking through a wine glass after swirling. :)

nice reflections on the wine within the title! i like how the wine glass acts as a lens to invert the view of the fire.

Nice, I bet some people don´t think it fit´s the challenge but I am not one of them and I really like this shot, it just works for me and I gave it a 9. Especially like the DOF and colours.

Although there is reflection on the glass base, most of this is refraction of light, rather then reflection. Many entries did the same thing, so I'm not worrying about it. The wine lover in me enjoys this photo. I particularly like the hue created by the flame and the wine. Also a nice composition. This makes me want to go open a bottle... so if you excuse me :)

So much for the fireplace .... what about the wine? JK. Good idea and a real nice shot. 7

I think this may be "Refraction" not "Reflection"... Looks cosy though!

Good still life, but unless there a level to your image I can't see, this is the refraction of firelight through the wine.

"an amber meniscus"? rotflmao. nice shot in many ways though. I'm a little bothered by the extreme deviation between looking down on the base and up at the rim, it's disconterting. And I sih the hot spots on the flames were better controlled. Finally, technically speaking the image in the glass isn't a reflection, the wine/glass are acting as a lens and thus the image is inverted just as a camera lens inverts it. All that's neither here nor there though. Nice shot, 7 from me.
