 This looked better in my head...honest! think it might bomb. I wish I was peter pan just so i wouldnt have a shadow (Grrrrr) or a vampire...or just have a clue how to light stuff. Wish I could of dodged it out!

Hope my expression of WTF!!! comes across! printed out the !? on A3 paper and stuck it to a door. Camera on tripod and timer & +1EV. Lighting was a puny Halogen :(

As for editing, I desat'd it, did a bit of USM, then did a bit of shadows-highlights to bring out the detail in my eye and hair, then just added a Sepia tone after.

AM WELL HAPPY!!! Cant believe I made the top 20, I went as high at 7.1 and as low as 5.6 so i landed to get a 6. Thanks for the kind comments and nice score! I was half expecting lots of "man, yo' UGLY, yo' mamma had to tie a steak round yo' neck just so the dog would play with yo'..." etc.

I missed this during the challenge but I would have given this an 8 just for pur originality! As far as the shadows are concerned I think if you stood a few more inches away from the wall and bounced the flashm some of the shadows wouldn't be as obvious. The desat and color saturation works well - not really BW but not really color. I think it's just the right amount for this image to be effective. And by your placement, everyone seems to have thought so too :D

Really nice shot! Good job tying in the symbols with the expression and keeping the attention on the 'action' and not on filling the shot with color. Wondereful interpretation of the shallenge. Great job! 10

Cute. I think I would have gone with high contrast in this shot. If the white were truely white, I think it would be more dramatic. Great crop and expression. I like your imagination.
