Thanks for your comments. The picture was taken deliberately at dusk as lighting here is a real pain. The cottages are in the shadow of a large mill just to the right of this image most of the day spoiling the picture, earlier in the day the light is behind them so I had little option if a 'shadowless' picture was to be taken. The item to the left is a narrowboat which is not very clear. The sky was also clear so no interest there...

i feel like the actual buildings and the truck hiding in the brush overpower the reflections in the photo...

In lack of contrast. A blown out sky (or isn't it?).
But a nice location. And I like the green between houses and reflection.

The over exposed sky hurts this picture a lot...but nice reflection

nice idea, but i'm not sure of the almost centred composition - not very dynamic, makes the photo a little stagnant. i would try cropping much lower at the top, so the riverboat becomes a more integral part of the image, and the composition becomes more interesting. Try this again on a sunnier day, because the lighting is very flat
