In Boston for a few days for work but managed to sneak out here and there with my camera. First time in a US city with a good collection of skyscrapers. If I lived near these monsters, I don't think I would photograph anything else again. I found the giddying scale and sheer audacity of these structures breathtaking. (I enjoyed it...can you tell?!). Loads of images to upload but will wait until challenge over as many giveaways.

Basically aim was to show the purity of a building against a dirty sky - counter to the usual thoughts of the man-made vs. the natural.

Altered curves and applied slight softening to building and then overlayed contrasty/noise-added sky on top. Small amount of cloning to remove edge of building from bottom right of image.

Ben,

Thank you for commenting on my Hancock picture, I really like yours and your portfilio as well. The Hancock is just around the corner from where I work and I my favorite in the city.

Great shot.

Regards,
Marc

This is an interesting photo, I can't tell if it is in b&w or color. I think color, but then again,,,,very neat, just one thing, I feel that the clouds on the building at the top are just a little too burned. But still very cool!!

A very bold and interesting image, though I don't know that i find the grain adding to what is otherwise a very modern, sharp picture.

Stunning building, well captured but I don't feel the grain adds to it
