If those reflections in the glasses could have been avoided it would have helped a lot. The detail and character in this shot is wonderful though. |

Nicely lit, bot the reflections in the spectacles are distracting - perhaps take 'em off next time? |

I like the way this face just sort of hangs in midair! ...not old...mature! :-) |

Nice shot overall. However, I would like to see the right side of the picture slightly lighter. And I wish I could see more of your neck, it appears as though your head is floating. Is that what you were going for? |

May be getting old, but you have great teeth. Very good shot. |

What a great portrait picture. I just love the way how you 'separate your head' from the surroundings. While the reflection on the glasses might be a little distracting I think they also add some depth to the photo. (8) |

Ok, you may be getting old ... but you're in good company! I would change only two things about this photo -- 1. I would like a slight bit more light in the eyes to generate catchlights, and 2. I would like to eliminate the reflections on the glasses. Other than that, you've done a superior job! |

I think this is a great photo, from one oldie to another. I would have liked to see a hint of shoulder, though, rather than the head kind of floating in space. Or, do I need to recalibrate my monitor? High marks anyhow, good job! |

A hovering head.. Sorta kinda creepy. Tilting your head slightly forward or backward would have killed those reflections in your glasses, might be worth considering. Nice sharpness and lighting, though. (6) |

Nice idea! I like this overall though find the eyes too much in shadow and focus a little soft. |

But not too old to take a great photo, obviously! |

Very nice, straightforward... not sure about the black shirt on black background, kinda creates this floating-head-in-space effect. Wonder what the same shot would look like in a white shirt. |

Glare in glasses is kind of distracting. Nicely lit. |

Ahh so what! We improve with age!
About your picture. I like the black bg, which provides a good contrast for your face. Also nice to see some people still smile...lol One nitpic is the glare on the glasses. Would have been better without that, since it obstructs a view of, the all important, eyes.
Good job! |

Reflections in the glasses are very off putting in an otherwise very nice picture. |

Col Sanders or Kenny Rogers? OK Joke aside, nice focus and soft lighting. Good blending of darkness to make the face appear floating. 7 |
