 After some curves adjustments in RAW mode, I duplicated the base layer and applied the Hard Steel filter from the Virtual Photographer program, reduced the opacity of that layer to about 75 percent, cloned out a partial third cow standing behind the cow on the left, reduced size to 640 dimension, selectively applied USM to some areas (no USM on the cows), then applied the faded white edges.

It colors seem a bit off - the greens of the grass and the trees in the sun.
