 Idea given by friends at work on the alternative interpretation of the word light. I have used daylight coming in through one window to achieve the shadow of the feather on a piece of board.

Postprocessing: Crop, USM, Curves, Border, Resize, USM, Save for Web.

Yes, the idea to take a picture of a feather is not that original as I expected, but I am pleased to see this photo has the highest score on the feather-photos :-)

Nice composition. The overall background appears dingy. I think the texture accentuates the dinginess.

Great title. Usualy textured backgrounds bug me, but with the simplicity, this works. I like that the feather has some actual color to it and isn't white. The shadowing is good. I like the frame too.

This photo has good focus, but the feather is kind of ugly itself and the shot is really plain. Good exposure, though.

I find the textured bg somewhat distracting. Other than that: Nice focus, nice lighting. Would have liked to to have seen a perfectly white feather, but I'm funny that way. Nicely done.

Some oversaturation might have highlighted the feather and higher contrast could also have helped. Still a nice pic.8.
