Selective focus does not work well when shooting oceans, large areas of sand, or in this case salt. I think you could of used some better lighting as well. I like the clarity though, and with some minor touchup and camera setting tweaks, you might have an interesting composition...

Good composition,,, adjusting your white balance or side lighting may have helped. |

I think the salt should have been more exposed in the picture, more salt on the cloth. As it is now it seems as nothing has happend when it fell down. |

A clean salt shaker would have made this photograph twice as good. |

I like the limited depth of field which leads me to look at the salt shaker straight away. I also like your angle of view. |

The dirt on the shaker, which could have been cleaned is a distraction to me.
More salt on the table would have helped. The fact that the reflection horizon splits the shaker top, is a strong element, and the interpertation is very original. |
