"Annisquam Harbor Lighthouse
White light flashing every 7.5 seconds with red sector. Annisquam light was erected in 1801 to mark the entrance to the Annisquam River. The river connected Ipswich Bay to Gloucester harbor following the construction of the Blynman Canal. Annisquam Harbor Lighthouse's wooden frame was replaced with the existing brick tower in 1867. The quaint light is maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard and is easily accessible from the nearby village of Annisquam in Gloucester." - (www.cape-ann.com/lights.html)

It is finally summer, so I was motivated to get to the shore. This is a beautiful area. You should definately visit it when in New England.

This image was cropped, color balanced, curves applied, and flipped horizontally. Taken at about 4:30 p.m.

This photo needs to be quite a bit sharper. Its a little underexposed but you wouldn't want to go too far with it or you'd lose this nice blue sky. A couple of wispy clouds would've been a good addition though. Good idea, just a soft picture where it should've been sharper.

I like the solitary feeling the off center composition brings. Fit well with the subject. I wish I could see more of the water (at first the beach looked more like a parking lot to me) It is also a bit dark - but it looks like it was taken as the sun was coming up or down.

Definitly a place to come back on a "bad day" with a charged sky and diffuse light that will show the rock formation betterl. it is always difficult to make a nice day look interesting.

I like this photo but it lacks clarity as though there was a haze over it. Could be the lighting or maybe levels and contrast adjustment would correct. Beautiful place either way.

I love the composition here, with the lighthouse situated in the lower right and the big empty sky space in the upper left. The lighthouse looks interesting enough on this bright day that I want to see more of it and more of its details.

I think that if you would have cropped more so the only the grass and rock could be visible, the photo could be better. also, maybe you should have waited until some clouds rolled by, i still like it though, 7

I love lighthouse shots! I like the composition here. It looks like it could be just a teeny bit sharper, particularly in the foreground, but it's still a nice shot.

Nice lighthouse shot. I would have either gone with a b+w or boosted the colors, esp the blue in the sky, a bit to give the image more feel. I would also crop out the puddle on the bottom which distracts from the rest of the photo. Good photo, nice find, focus, and lighting.
