Most people don't realize kudzu blooms.

unfortunately, the season for kudzu blooms is over.

my main thought in having he leaves in front is to show the bloom hiding (hince the title) you really do have to know when in the year they start to bloom and go digging around under those big green leaves to find them. i think they're quite pretty and well worth the finding... i'll have to upload some more kudzu bloom pics to the portfolio soon

Very beautiful flower. The composition is good with the large leaves behind, I'm not real sure the leaves in front work well. They just obscure part of the flower and also distract. I don't know if that bloom is still in season, but I think it be worth the while to shoot it trying out different compositions, and even in some different lighting.

State flower of the South
I think the reds and pinks make this picture, so whatever increases the focus on them is going to improve it. On my monitor the whole image doesn't fit vertically. One of the old thumb wheel scrolls cut of 10-15% from the top and I liked it better. I'd think about cropping and framing it differently. Something I put together from reading online, either about hyperfocus or bokeh, is that soft and fuzzy backgrounds are ok, but soft foregrounds are a no-no. They seem to be a natural distraction to the viewer.
