Challenge: Transparency II (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO Macro Super for Canon
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Date: Oct 27, 2005
Aperture: 7.1
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/60
Galleries: Abstract, Snapshot

USM, gaussian blur, blue photo filter, hue/saturation, levels, curves, Neat Image, crop, border. I used Neat Image after all of the other editing. It gave some of the picture an unncessarily smooth look/feel. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't.

Lighting is very good here.

The contrast makes this shot. Love the blue hue.

DPC line...OOF. I'm sure you are getting hammered. I think the darkness is probably a bigger problem than the DOF. I like the idea, but I think the blacks were taken a little too far.

I really like the way that you've captured just enough detail in the face. Too much detail and the whole thing might look a little too flat and ordinary. The strong silhouettes of the hands contrast nicely with the rest of the shot.

cool blue. her face doesn't show that she's trapped, though...just pressing against a glass. cool shot.

Very "COOL" image and nice DOF too.

Love the silhoette and the shadow cast on her face. The light blue sets it off nicely

I like the idea and concept. A bit too much contrast for my taste, I wish there was a bit more clarity around her face, especially her right eye, but again, creatively done.

Ha! Looks like you and I had the same idea - I wonder how many other "press against the glass in the shower" shots there are - good luck!

Nice drama, I wish the towel bar wasn't there. Good use of lighting and color.

COOL lighting effect. The blue is awesome. The hint of skin color really makes it more than a silhouette. GOod job. I'd like it if I couldn't see the towel bar, then I'd really wonder where you were.
