That's a tough DOF call. The out of focus galls is competing with the background for the point of interest so the viewer gets a little confuzzled

I like the composition and particularly like the red sky, although the magnifying glass and hand, being so out of focus, don't sit too well with the rest of the image.

I like the sunrise, but I think the magnifying glass does little but satisfy the challenge. It's a creative attempt that ultimately fails. 6

sailors warning.
The focus seems to be best on the mountains in the background which is a tad strange. I think holding the magnifying glass over the peak of the mountain might have made for a better effect? Maybe it was too far away to make that much visual impact?

sorry...you've got a knockout sky in this image. that sky takes all the attention away from that magnifying glass...imo!

I like the idea. For me, had there been part of the mountain in the magnifier it would be even more interesting. The hand itself is a bit too grainy for my personal taste, but nice sky.

wish this were just a tad sharper.. and that the glass included some of the mountains in its view.. lovely scenery though.. :) the hand is a tad distracting to me..
