This is beatiful Scott. I know for many people, it will not be to their liking, but I am a fan of this type of image. This looks very 'fantasy' like, or fairy tale perhaps. Composition is very good. Even though it seems like there is a lot in the shot, it still looks clean and simple. I really like the ferns in the foreground and the branch in the top left. I think they add some depth and give you a sense of 'looking in' at the scene. Your tweaking of the greens and yellows are great, they have a nice luminous feel for me. And I like the dark shadowy areas, again adding depth and strongly contributing to the 'mood' of the photo.
I'm wondering if the grey netting like foliage in the center were just a touch lighter/brighter, it might stand out just a little more. Not very much at all, just slightly. Maybe in selective color, just a little tweaking to the white and neutral channels perhaps? But maybe that's just me :-) I kind of agree about the sky, I think I definitely see what you were going for with the sky, and it's close, very close, but to me I think that the blue portions are just a little too blue. And it seems just a little too broke up with light and dark, comes off a little blotchy. Did you have a washed out or flat sky and added it with a gradient or brushing it in?
I like it though, very cool and dreamy. Reminds me of one of my shots that I quite like, 'My Hidden Pond'.
Nice work Scott :-)

Very nice, dreamy. Only thing I dont like is the sky and clouds, it looks out of place.

I love the trees/forest, they are amazing, Im not too thrilled about the clouds, but I cant put into words what bugs me, they somehow just look off, still a wonderful pic with great effects. |

interesting effect, I like the image. It may benefit from having a stronger focal point in the image. |

Very interesting effect. Almost like it will have a soft texture if you touched it. |
