I think the use of grain here is the very thing that makes it NOT a re-hash of the old self-photo. The excellent moody lighting adds yet more mood to that created by the sinister spectacles. The fingers on the camera have a nicely dynamic, but natural, position. For me, this picture comes together very nicely indeed.

This looks a bit grainy. Was this done on purpose? Did you had "noise" to the shot? I like the composition, though.

Generally I do not like the grainy look, but on this pic it really works.

Unfortunately, not really bright enough and a bit too grainy. I'm not sure if the grain was added to the image on purpose, but if it was it doesn't really add much to the picture. Apart from that, the composition of this photo is very good

The graininess doesn't work for me, but I like the sort of Matrix Agent thing going on with the formal shirt and sunglasses. :)

It's grainy, though good.

I like the tones and the grain in this shot. Together with the composition and expression, it creates an interesting mood.

Too dark. I can't make out anything.

While I do like the grain in the shot, I find the rest of your picture to be unappealing. It's too dark and this pose has been done too many times before. The camera and your hands are blown up and enlarged and obscure your interesting looking face. In addition, I find the border to suggest just a snapshot type of picture.

Hello,
Canon eh? Canon is Kool. Hmm, I don't really like the grainyness of this one. Maybe if there was a little less Grain. Also I think the boarder is a little too thick.

Could use a bit more light. Pose is good.

a very well taken shot, except for the awkward border. 8

Way to go 10D! The graininess works well here.

The old grainy look is very cool (I like the mix of old and new)... any reason for the sunglasses? Just wondering :)
