This is a glimpse inside our carved pumpkin through the top. A candle illuminates fresh pumpkin brains. No fingers were lost in this carving and the kids actually touched the inside for the first time. They are planning to plant the seeds to grow a pumpkin for next year.

Interesting point of view. I like the shapes that the partially removed lid make. It reminds me of peeking into my own jack-o-lanterns just to see the flame as a kid.

Too abstract for this challenge, methnks.

I see what you were going for, but it comes off a bit flat.

Not all that interesting or creative. Isn't this supposed to be about the carving of a pumpkin?

Neat perspective. Not sure if the lack of focus was intentional or not but that'd be my only complaint, I'd like to see the edges of the gap more defined.

Like the abstract nature of this one. Needed to reduce the noise, though. It realy is strong around the candle and the edges of the black.

While you have done a nice capture of the candle, the overall impact of the shot wasn't there for me. I like the concept, and would love to see this with more DOF and a small amount of exterior lighting. 4
