A nice model and a nice shot.
For improvements I would do a selective sharpen on the eyes, (yes more sharpening), and try a less contrasty b&w conversion. The eyes are the magic ticket for kid photography and should be nice and sharp. Less contrast would give it a softer look which in my opinion is another good rule to stick to for kid/baby photography. |

Nice shot. Lovely boy. Those eyes are great. I bet they would have looked awesome looking into the camera. Like teh toning. Maybe slightly too many highlights and I don;t think that cap adds much - I find it just an irritating distraction from the lovely portrait of the boy. Great job overall. |

Good photo overall - lighting and focus seem fine - nothing eye-popping though. The crop feels way too tight, IMO. Definitely looks like you could get some really great shots with the boy. Get him to giggle! :) |
