Challenge: Shutter Speed (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Location: The Netherlands, Den Helder, beach
Date: Oct 28, 2005
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO: 200
Shutter: 30 seconds
Galleries: Seascapes
Date Uploaded: Nov 1, 2005

In this photograph I used a flaslight to lighten up the surf several times. This way I could freeze this surf a few times (as can be seen on the several progress lines of the surf on the beach). During the exposure time of 30 seconds these moments are added up, causing a higher exposure for the surf and the blurred effect. Therefore the surf lights up in this photo.

I want to give it a "6" or a "7." (Actually, I want to give it a "6.5".) The coin says "6"; sorry.

I think you violated the age old rule of putting the horizon right in the middle of the picture.
