 Common ant on a blade of grass. Not the best macro I've taken but I think it fits the theme.

Rotate, crop, resize.
Tiny bump of the midtones.

Thanks for the comments.

My original idea was to place the ant on a straw which would be placed in a glass of juice or milk or some other liquid. I couldn't decide what liquid to use and so took the easy way out. A blade of grass! The first ant kept crawling down the grass when I wanted him to go up, (the shot was rotated), so after a moment of misplaced frustration it was time to find a new ant. The second one played the game by the rules and four shots later we let him go back in the garden.

Guess I was lucky with this one.

Excellent capture. I'll tell you I am another "bug dead end" interpretation (but I won't say which one). I enjoy your's a lot. The composition is simple and elegant. The diagonal swoop of the branch is pleasing. The focus is sharp and the lighting is impeccable. I'll give you a 10.
