An interesting idea. I think I would have pulled that weed? that is over the cup. It isn't obvious what it is so distracts people from the subject. As weird as this sounds, you could have picked better trash. White styrafoam is hard to make look good (maybe a non-white paper cup) as is a baggie (a chip bag instead?).

I would have removed the other weed that is entering from the left. Controlling the whole canvas is always important. If it isn't adding something, get rid of it.

Your conversion to B&W isn't too bad. A little harsh on the RR track highlight.

I really like this shot. The strong, clean line through the frame compares well with the detail in the rotten wood. The only downside, however, is the weed that has crept in to the left hand side of the frame.

i really like the composition of this photo. i like the spider weeds and their effect. like the b&w treatment as well. very nicely done. good luck!
