Thank all of you for the comments, a lot of them were very helpful. One question though, what is vertical framing?

seems to need a vertical framing ?

Moving the light source closer to the glass would have made that writing more legible in the shadow, still a good idea

Very nice. I might not be able to read the shadow Bud, but the Millennium certainly comes through. I like the dark to light shadow transition, but I think it goes to far in the light direction on the left side of this shot. Sometimes wish the site would matte our photos with other than white, but it would probably hurt other people's photos. I also like the stray accents, like the two in the middle of the shadow and the one at the bottom.
Obviously serious attempt to meet the challenge. Thank you. Photo 9 Creativity 10 Shadows 9 total 9

Pretty cool. I wish the wall was lit better though.

This is nice! i wonder what it would have looked like done in color and filled with a colored liquid? Maybe red or blue? The only part of this image that I don't care for is the 'corner' in the background... good shot! - jmsetzler

Cool idea, but you need to work on your lighting... the text on the glass is glared out and the left side is a bit over exposed.

Ahhhhh, finally a shadow photo in which someone used focus, DOF, and exposure to tell a story. I had been feeling a little guilty giving low scores, and it makes me feel good to award your entry.

Not bad, but the white is a little overexposed to me-just my opinion

Cool. Since your subject should be the shadow it might have been nicer if you increased your DOF to put the shadow in focus as well. That or maybe just focus on the shadow.

Wow! I love how you can read the name in the shadows. Also, this didn't affect my scoring but there are major compression artifacts here. Your image is only a little over 11K. In the future you may wish to save at a higher quality to get a better image.
