So what was your secret? I can't believe this was 157. I thought for sure we'd see this in the Top 10.

outstanding and surreal. Bumping up.

good sky contrast

its more of a skyscape

This is a very ambitious landscape, because it has so little land in it! For me it works very well. I like the tower ( I don't think it's a lighthouse?) ... it gives scale and depth to the marvellous cloudscape. 7

Dramatic in the sky. I like this. Your contrast is on the edge for the cloud. Good luck. I see this was checked. Glad you passed. Third time I have looked. Just fantastic.

Did you sharpen the clouds to make them look surreal or unnatural? It just looks a little off to me.

Amazing sky.

My idea of a landscape photo is one that captures the natural environment. Some editing is fine!! I just feel that this is a bit much. I would really like to see it unedited, a little more "aunatural".

That is cool, very nice job.

VERY draqmatic! The tower on the hill makes the picture even more interesting. The little small white buildings in the left bottom part are somewhat disturbing my eye.

Wow. I'm gonna sit here for 30 seconds and figure how this is done with basic editing. OK, it's was more than 30 seconds. I'm going to give you a 9 but I'm gonna ask for validation (sorry). I just can't see how this was done without selection. Hmmm...coming back. perhaps a gradient yellow filter on the lens to remove blue and then desaturate yellows? I hope this gets validated because I'm very intrigued about the effect and will be first in line to find out how it was done.

Nice idea, but overprocessed.
11/10/2005 02:35:27 PM
I woudl have preferred to have seen more of the 'land'.
11/10/2005 01:09:10 AM
wow.those clouds scare me.looks like really thick smoke.very cool.one of the best in my opinion.9
11/09/2005 09:07:47 PM
Wow what a sky I love how you brought it out to really give impact. 9
11/09/2005 08:39:39 PM
7 for the clouds alone

The sky is very dramatic. I really like the sky. But I would either have included more of the ground below or no ground. What you have there now is just enough land that I am staring at it trying to figure out what it is and what that white at the top of the hill is. The clouds alone would have been impressive.
11/09/2005 02:46:54 PM
Very dramatic sky.
11/09/2005 02:00:14 PM
cool clouds but the rest of the picture is boring
11/09/2005 01:22:56 PM
I like the bottom half of your photo, but those clouds look overly processed and kind of fake to me, especially in the highlight areas.
11/09/2005 08:40:38 AM
I like how you have captured the texture and movement in the clouds.
11/09/2005 08:06:36 AM
Nice capture, those clouds look really spooky.
11/09/2005 12:57:50 AM
Nice editing for added cloud freakiness
