Did a little rework and saved to 128K. Still have those steps or jaggies on the stumps. Always a learning experience at DPC

The steping of the edges on the branches really let this otherwise excellant shot down, I bet the original size looks magnificent |

I love the colors, the fog is captured and the stumps add interest. 10. |

not a bad shot. 2 things: seems way oversharpened, from the edges of the tree bits. there is also too much separation in colour caused by this. and.. it doesn't really scream 'landscape'... it's mostly water and sky. 5

The huge compression (to 40kb) really hurts this photo. This is imho top 20 stuff but the jpeg noise ruins it all. :(
Sweet colors. Straighten the horizon and save as close to 150kb as possible and you are near top 10. |

I like the color and composition very much, but there's something unsettling about the rather jagged edges on the stumps. I'm not sure if this is a resolution thing or oversharpening or what, but it hurts what could be an excellent photo. |

This looks like a beautiful place and a stunning image. However something seems to be wrong with the lines. Maybe it was oversharpened? All the straight lines appear to be fuzzy. |

Dang. A beautiful picture marred by poor compression or pixellation (hopefully it's that and not spot editing). I'll still give it a 6. |

Very abstract, very moody. I love it as an image. Gorgeous colours too, but I'm just not sure it represents a landscape to me. |

Is it Jpeg defects I see? You must hae been able to save the file in a better quality. Nice motive but the birds are a bit distracting |

The image is suffering from some serious compression artefacts. When saving, you should keep your file size as close to the 150k limit as possible. There's a good tutorial on this in the 'Learn' section. |

Did you oversharpen this? The reflections seem strange. Otherwise, nice composition. |

I see that this shot is only about 40K (of 150K allowed)... I would have scored this a bit higher if the .jpg artifacts weren't evident. You might want to learn more about using .jpg compression to your advantage, and submit as close to the 150K as possible. This would have been very close to a 10 from me if it wasn't as blotchy as it is. |

Too bad the photo is a bit coarse-grained. |
