Thanks everybody for your comments, the blue haze over the mountains is the famous chromatic aberration known to ocurr in the Canon powershot "A" series cameras, You need certain conditions for it to be this noticeable, and I seem to have found those conditions in this photo, also the noise in the sky a problem that could not be fixed with the despeckle filter, maybe this is why the moon seems so blurry, but since there is no spot editing in DPChallenge... well, I guess I found the limitations of my camera with this night shot. |

I think for this type of shot to work it needs to be very crisp, but here the moon is a little fuzzy and there's some blue haze over the mountains and a lot of noise in the sky. All that distracts and detracts from what would otherwise be a nice subtle scene (the composition is good). |

Good sillhouette and nice capture of the moon. I might like to see a little more land in the landscape, but the colors of the sky look lovely. |

wow awesome! and i believe i see mars also? i was trying to get a shot like this, but it didn't work out, so i applaud you. ^_^ i find it awesome that you can see the full outline of the moon. (the circle.) good job |
