On a shoot in about the only fields available near my house, where I have never seen a single person in all the times I've been there before! - the chap was walking his dog and started talking about one field being winter and one field being spring barley on account of the different colours - a gift for the challenge! So thank you sir whoever you are. Cropped, levelled slightly.

I can't help feeling this would have been more effective if the man was looking into the picture.

A lovely feel to this and the man is totally fitting for country life. The only thing I would change is to give the man more space on the left, as it is he is looking out of the picture instead of into it.

I like the way you have used shadows here. The sloping horizon is a bit distracting, but I can see that the subject is pretty straight. Nice focus and detail.

I really like this shot. It full-on breaks a rule. He has no space in front of his face... in fact.. he has a ton behind him. I imagine you did that on purpose? I think it works though. I'm not sure. It really creates a subconscious uncomfortable feel. I wish the colors could be a bit more vivid and exposure a little more even. But still a great shot.

Poor lighting lets this down a bit. [5]

I like this as it is very unconventional to have a person walking out of a shot. Like the pepe. The colors in the shirt seem to be reflecting those in the sky nicely.

Interesting composition; great sky. Your subject's face is a bit dark.

I like your off centre composition but find the face a bit too dark

I like the distinguished look of your subject. I think if he was looking to the right it might present a better composition. Is the horizon tilt intentional? I also like the coloring; it appears to be very natural.

He looks exactly like the farmer from the film "Babe". Cool pic, although I would have prefered him looking into the pic instead of out of it - 8.

This is okay, but it doesn't do much for me.

I would prefer to have the negative space in front of the man, but that's just me. Lovely sky!

Wonderful shot.......appeling man, sky. Like this. Not crazy for the crop on the left side. Still interesting work.

Cool shot, I just wish you would have been on the other side looking into the photo. I fill like it has been cut. The horizon seems to be a bit tiltled too. Good luck

perhaps it would have been better if the man had looked the other way, into the light?

An interesting character shot, but why didn't you straighten the horizon? It looks awful! Shame also that his face is in shadow. Great expression and pipe though! 5
