After waiting all week for the weather to break and expose some of our beautiful scenery I finally got one short opportunity yesterday and was able to capture a number of snow geese shots against fresh snow and in the fall colored fields. Not the spectacular shots I had hoped for but the mountains just never did come out for me.
I decided on this one because I felt it would be different from the normal wide landscapes we will see in this challenge.
Shot at 500mm, Pattern metering, Aperture Priority
RAW Shooter Premium settings:
Color temp 6500, tint +13, appearance custom, exposure comp +.75, fill light +8, shadow contrast + 9, highlight contrast -29, sharpness +20, detail +10, noise reduction 10, tweak curve to increase contrast, vibrance 5

| It distracts quite a lot that the birds are flying right in the middle of this beautiful pic. Why not to crop 1/4 from up? But I like this anyhow. |

| Love it! Great way to spice up the landscape by adding geese flying. The back ground is very muted and I don't know if there was any way for you to increase the contrast without making the birds become silhouettes. But that might look nice too. |
