this is pretty much the opposite of a landscape photograph...

but where there is a place for black, there is a place for white, no?

eh, I just want to play the game, even if I do poorly in this round.

handheld at 1/30 sec, using ND4 filter for the sky.

editing:
selective color (mood)
curves (tone)
channel mixer (monochrome, 80% opacity)
hue/saturation (resaturate)
curves (re-balance tone)
USM (0.3px/70%)
Neatimage (on overkill for "painterly" effect)
USM (0.7px/30% & 0.3px/40%)

focal length 22.0mm

i will bracket my score at 5.35 +/- .15

When you've got the eye, you've got the eye . . . no matter what.

Trucks should not be in the picture at all. But, I do like the tree.

I love this "alternative" landscape. Great light, color and post processing. Good luck.

I think there might be just a little bit too much going on here. All the different subjects are very interesting in and of themselvs (the sky is nice and intense, the plane looks cool in silhouette, the repetition of the trucks is interesting, and there's an interesting texture in the foreground leaves) but having them all together here makes it too busy. It's hard to look at any one part of the image intently. My eye is constantly drawn to something else and I'm not getting much of an impact from the photo as a whole. Concentrate on just one or two of these interesting subjects next time.

I keep trying to figure out why I like this shot so much and can't put it into words. I really struggeled between rating it 6 or 7 and leaned for the 7 because dang it, I just like it. Good job !

To me, I couldn't find a landscape subject. The jet is too dominate, tree to distracting and hard to see the trucks for the wall.
