Nice colors, but I don't consider a single flower as landscape. |

Pretty, but I don't really consider a flower to be a landscape. |

Sorry to be harsh, but my scorring is:
1/2 ΓΆ€“ Subject
0/4 ΓΆ€“ Technical & artistic skill = blurred & lacking detail, poor composition
0/3 ΓΆ€“ Overall appeal = no interest or attraction
0/1 ΓΆ€“ Extra merit = no wow factor

It is really a stretch to think of a picture of a flower as a landscape. The flash glare on this flower is really obvious and creates hot spots. Also, the focus is not clear and the composition is far too centered. |

A flower. Not a landscape. |

Your subject is a pretty flower - I don't see how this meets the challenge - this is more a narrow view of a natural object rather than a view of a countryside or city. Also from a composition standpoint, your flower is very centered in the frame - finding a way to use the rule of thirds would improve this shot. |

IMO a picture of one flower is not a landscape. |

This is a stunning picture. |

I don't care for the lighting in this shot and it is too centered. |

Your composition would be helped if you did not center the flower right in the middle of the frame. Also the on-camera flash is a bit harsh. You might try it with natural light and a tripod. Keep at it. |

This is not a landscape, does not meet the challenge. |

It's a little small, and because of that it seems, or maybe it is, out of focus.
I'm not seeing the landscape either. |

Not exactly a landscape, not exactly in focus. |

Good colors on this flower. The detail looks a little bit soft, possibly because of the lighting? |

The highlights are blown out and I'm not crazy about the cropping. Nice plant, though. |

I see, but the theme of the challenge is landscape. Try harder to meet a challenge next time - it's challenging and it's interesting - I can assure you. And avoid direct flash - it's good for snapshot, but not for photo to enjoy. |

Pretty flower, but your flash is too harsh causing the hotspots. Try a diffuser or bounce flash |

don't think this fits the theme of landscape too well. It's too narrowly focused on a single flower without showing its surround. |

It's a pretty flower. I wonder how this would look if the composition wasn't so centered and a different light source? |

I'm not sure this is exactly a landscape... |

Not a landscape - at all. |

Oops, not a landscape. Lovely flower tho.
As a photo tho it needs some other changes if you don't mind a little advice for the future. Primarily it is out of focus. Focus and matching the challenge are the two biggest areas in this forum. What would also help is watching the white areas and reflections that they do not get over-exposed. Make sure they are not blaring or devoid of detail. Tipping this to the left about 10 degrees and uncentering the flower may also be more appealing.
Just some thoughts, hopefully not too many. Hope it helps. :) Check out the tutorials under the 'learn' button. So much to learn, but the great thing about DPC is that you loose nothing and only gain from trying! |

Seems slightly out of focus, also, not a landscape... |

I wouldn't call this a landscape. |
