My hometown, shot from its twin-town on the other side of the river. This is the oldest part of the city of Porto, in northern Portugal (also known in English as "Oporto"), home of the world-famous Port Wine, and a World Heritage Site.

This is a single shot.
The original was cropped, converted to B/W and the Unsharp Mask filter was applied. Then the triptych effect was added with The Gimp, and Unhsarp Mask applied again, obtaining the "edge" effect on each panel.

porto?
i prefer pictures where the panels tell a "story", but even though this is just a simple split, i still find myself looking at it for quite long time and like it :)

Very nice. Each section has a lot to look at and hold the viewer's interest. Nicely done.

This is SO pretty! I think the triptich style works very well with this photo. I can almost see an elegant cursive title on the bottom part of the border. I really love this one. 10

How does the division of your picture into three frames enhance the photo? How does this "tell...a story or illustrates a concept or object" better than the original image?

I like it. I am mixed though on whether or not it woulb have looked better with an even border. I kind of like what you did though because it makes it look almost like a window sill.

I like the shot and your choice of b/w. I'm not crazy about the heavy border on the bottom. It would be great if there was a title there, but just blank, it takes away from the composition IMHO

Nice view, maybe a little too grey but is it a real triptych?
