Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Camouflage (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Olympus D-540 Zoom
Location: Hayden Lake, Idaho, USA
Date: Nov 14, 2005
Aperture: F2.9
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/1.6 seconds
Galleries: Black and White
Date Uploaded: Nov 14, 2005

It took me a few shots to get the perfect angle and look. Had to use macro to acually get the picture right. I discover the color of the photo really distracting, so I get get rid of the color and Volia! Look closly for the odd-one-out quarter. I hope this does well.

nice ideal, i like the composition of the shot. Its a bit out of focus and grainy and a little glared from the flash(?).

First good idea, but I think the execution is lacking. Technically, the entire photo is just lacking in the detail necessary to really pull the photo off, you're dealing with very detailed objects. Compositionally, it may be a bit too difficult to find that Canadian piece near the top. Maybe placing the photo closer to the center (but not necessarily at) the center would help. Another idea to add variety is perhaps to add some more 'tails'. Play with it. :)

Rather pixelated and shaky on the focus, I'm afraid.

Focus could be a little sharper to increase the interest here.

Feels a bit grainy, but I like the idea and layout.

this sort of still life needs to be very, very sharp to work well, the idea is good, the lighting is good, the conversion to B&W seems an odd choice, but the focus is way too soft.

Can't really properly vote on this due to severe out of focus

This would be really good if it were in focus.

Great idea, but would have been stronger with better focus

The focus is a bit of a bummer, but the idea is clever and well-thought out.
