I was in Birmingham for a few days when the challenge was announced, and there was a guy who sat in a little plastic box taking tickets for a car park on a bit of dead ground - I wanted to shoot him for this, but never got an opportune moment, and anyway, as far as this challenge is concerned, his little box had lights both outside and in. This, of our lighting designer with Van der Graaf Generator, is a crop from what i think is a much more interesting frame - but that includes another lightsource, so I've entered this version. If it's liked, I may post the full frame for comparison - now there's as good a way of ensuring complete indifference as I know.

Good shot. The composition really enhances the feeling that he's all alone in the middle of the night. Great lighting, too. Good luck. I hope the voters like this one. 9.

Good shot. Good facial capture, good use of b&w, has a nice grain feel to it. Best of the bunch so far in this rating.
