I wanted to imply a cheating wife with the removed ring and implied bedroom scene. Even more, I wanted the indication that she was not playing by her own rules. The "marriage creed" in the scene is to indicate the rules she says she plays by. It has a soft focus in order to indicate the rules, but not overwelm the image with words.

My sweet husband posed for this shot, and I truly am married to him.

My rings suffered for this shot, when the anniversary ring fell under the bed and the wedding band/engagement ring fell in the wax. Both are back on my hand where they belong.

I hope you all like it.

Nice image, interesting subteltywith the foreground although I would like to see just a bit more light on him. You need the title to make it meet the challenge, which is not my first choice in how to do it. But in the interest of fairness, I have done the same thing. Again, good image. And thank you for not placing an Ace up his sleeve...

the text in the picture is difficult to read because of the size, and i'm sure it lends more meaning to the scene in the photo. i like the composition and soft lighting.

The framed vows (?) seem to be important, but I can't read them. I like the lighting and the candles.

I can't read what's in the frame, so maybe I'm missing something. As far as I can see, the only thing connecting this picture to the challenge is the title.

Very nicely set up. Great exposure. I wish the tips of the candles weren't cut off. a "7"

I can barely read from that paper... "In our marriage..."
This image therefore relies a lot on the title, which I find wrong. The image is of a man, so if he's not her husband, than she is the cheater as we do not know of his marital status. Better title would have been "She's not his wife".
Still, nice attempt but as I said it relies a lot on the title.
