Thanks for all the comments.
I waited for ages for the horse to turn around but it just kept gradually moving away.
I am a bit of a novice at photography and seem to have trouble with manual focus...what looks good in the camera comes out a bit soft on the computer. I also seem to loose a bit in compressing the pictures down from 2 mb to 150 kb, but have just found some articles on how to do it better |

the framing of your subject with the foliage is nice, but i think there is a little too much foreground. |

This is an absolutely beautiful composition. Though you've lost detail in the foreground weeds, they frame the picture nicely. You've also captured a reposeful pose (lol) of the horse, which I like, as well as, like the mysterious dark area in the upper right hand corner. All very pleasing. IMO, the weakest part of the picture is the soft focus and I wish there was a little more color to add interest. All in all, well done! |

Interesting composition. Needs focus and I would prefer to see the front of the horse rather than the rear. |
