Took 50 photos on a drive through the local hills yesterday and this was the only one my wife chose to submit, which also happened to be my 1st shot.
Processed with unsharp mask and curves. Photo does look better at 5 megapixal resolution on a large monitor.

Thanks for all the comments.
I waited for ages for the horse to turn around but it just kept gradually moving away.
I am a bit of a novice at photography and seem to have trouble with manual focus...what looks good in the camera comes out a bit soft on the computer. I also seem to loose a bit in compressing the pictures down from 2 mb to 150 kb, but have just found some articles on how to do it better

the framing of your subject with the foliage is nice, but i think there is a little too much foreground.

This is an absolutely beautiful composition. Though you've lost detail in the foreground weeds, they frame the picture nicely. You've also captured a reposeful pose (lol) of the horse, which I like, as well as, like the mysterious dark area in the upper right hand corner. All very pleasing. IMO, the weakest part of the picture is the soft focus and I wish there was a little more color to add interest. All in all, well done!

I like how you framed to horse naturally. Very pretty picture. Good luck.

Interesting composition. Needs focus and I would prefer to see the front of the horse rather than the rear.
