Taken at Queens Park Allotments, Glasgow

The sun was blasting through the little greenhouse sheds and I loved the way they seemd to glow in the late afternoon sun

This just has kind of a snapshot feel to it. There isn't anything to really draw me in. It seems a bit busy. If you were wanting a nostalgic sense, maybe using a sepia filter would have helped to even out the entire image so to speak. Keep it up though, the next one will be better!

Well, I gave you a three. Seeing only one plant in there I hd no idea this was a greenhouse first off. I thought it was perhaps a screened in porch. The title added to my conclusion. The foreground is very distracting as are the blurry gold streaks reaching into the sky (most noticeabel on the left). Lastly, it just doesn't have a strong feeling of adulthood.

A lovely rustic screened grid with a filter of light and atmosphere hanging like a golden shroud....
beautiful. fyi 6

Compositionally the shot is very busy. The grass that is in the foreground and blurred is very distracting. The light behind the structure is too bright and blown out on the left. With the blurry foreground grasses the rest of the shot looks out of focus as well. There is no real center of focus or anything to get your attention.

For the challenge - there is little, if anything, here that ties it to the challenge. The things you pointed out in your post - peering over a wall, etc. I don't get from this at all.

hrmm, I think it's a matter of composition and lighting that affected your overall score. It was a great idea, I just think you may not have spent enough time thinking about the outcome as you looked through the viewfinder...sometimes you got to wait for the light to be right.

Not a strong tie to adulthood...

Great light and mystery, I'm sorry if I didn't get a strng sense of adulthood from it

what great light in this composition! the photo has a soft, dreamy feeling as a result, which adds to that longing referenced in the title.
