There's a bunch of lounge chairs on the lawn in front of a private hotel wing. Weather has been lousy so everyone is staying indoors or doing something else. I may get "this does not fit the challenge" comments but I think it does fit. Adults make money to go vacation from their daily life, I don't know of too many kids hopping on a plane to go on vacation on their own. Sure, some kids in late teens do it but the parents pay for it.

The image in itself is underexposed in my opinion. Though the thought of a "vacation getaway" might seem to be an adult thing to do, it is however, short of what DPCers were looking for in this challenge.

Compositionally, the image lacks punch. It's just lawn chairs and nothing else. The horizon is tilted and there are quite a few distracting elements that would other wise probably garner a few extra points ie. the tree on the right side (you could have cloned this out) and that circle thing to the back of the image (my eye seems to draw me back there).

I gave this image a 5 and never looked back. The title also seems to be a bit off as seen from the few comments you had received. It was quite hard to tie the title back into the image.

Again, these are my own opinions and you should take it for what it is. It's too bad that the image was underexposed. Maybe a bit of PP would have helped this image.

Gloomy and foreboding, tilted horizon, didn't use the full range of tones, very static composition, tenuous relationship to challenge topic for the voter: per your request, these are reasons you didn't do very well... Keep on plugging away at it!

For me the picture was too dark, didnt have a vacation-e paradise feel. Maybe if you had a view from the chairs out to the water, the angle is a little overdone also, I dont know but it makes me feel like im falling. If you could lighten everything up, maybe contrast everything it would make it stand out more. The location is beautiful.

Not a strong tie to adulthood...

Wow, looks beautiful except for the storm brewing. Nice picture, I like the angle you used. Good colors.

you mean things aren't always perfect when you're an adult????
; )
interesting, but appropriate, choice for this challenge.

This is suffering from a bit of underexposure. Would recommend playing with your level adjustment layers to brighten it up a bit. :)

Not only adults can use it. Nice photo, but check horizont. 4

This is an interesting picture, but I really don't get adulthood out of it.
