Will see this in the underrated thread, no doubt. It's a good portrait. Maybe heavy on the eye makeup that makes them too dark against the white. She looks like Glenn Close.

Not Rikki, but thanks. :)

This was for a client - she bought this pose (and 12 or so more) out of 49 so I'm happy with the image. :) It's got exactly what I wanted going on - poppin eyes, a little bit of hair shaping her face and almost enough body to see what's going on. It also has almost no post processing except the eyes. The rest of the photo looks exactly how I took it.

Oh, for all the comments and voters who thought "it's blown out" please download the image on your screen, open it in photoshop and use curves to darken the image on your screen. There are VERY FEW areas that are blown out - a touch on her forehead, a touch on the background. There's detail there and if you can't see it, calibrate. Photoshop can see it. I can see it.

Enjoy!

You still goofing around with this technique Rikki? I just want to know how you got all these women around you. I gave it a 6. It's a nice smile and pose. I can't decide if the eyeliner is good or bad. Aw heck, I'm bumping to a 7. It's actually not bad at all.

I know this is high key lighting but I still feel this was overexposed.

A little too high key. most of her skin is blown out.

The high key effect doesn't really do much for this photo. Combined with the dark eye makeup it makes it look kinda like she's dying, which doesn't strike me as the effect you were going for...

Very nice picture, Love her eyes and hair. Her face is a bit washed against the background but I love how she almost melts into it.

Nice job on the eyes. I think I know where you were trying to go with this, but it just doesn't appeal to me - more color would have been nice, it's a little too bleached out. The eyes are very striking though - it worked there!

A very daring study, to take the color out of a portrait and still keep composition is very good, when i first looked at this image I went for the 4, but stopped to looked further I'm going to give this a 9, as I think the image fits this challenge.

This chick looks like MY friend sarah! She also seems a little bit 'ghosty' - how cool!
