This is a farmer in a "neighborhood" near here. Local farmers just finished their first cutting of hay for the year. It is later than usual, so they will probably only get one more in the fall. I like this one, because he is one of the few left doing the small rect. bales. Others are using the large round ones.

I remember those small rectangle bales. Lots of heavy work putting them into a hay mow! Great work!

This is without a doubt country life. The focus is good and the hay bales create a nice pattern in the foreground. There is a nice array of color throughout, but there is a harsh light hitting just above the tractor and it definately is taking away from the rest of the photo.

Other than the light the angle in which this was taken is a little distrating, might help to turn it slightly.

Overall this is country life, the farmer even reminds me of some old movies that portray the farmer as lazy. He just looks so relaxed and at ease there on the tractor seat. Although I know a farmer's life is not a lazy one, they just always look so relaxed on the tractor.

It's good to actually see a person in one of these shots working. That displays "country life" really well. They're living it. Good job.

A little bright in some places.

This one is okay, but it doesn't really get my attention. Too ordinary and I don't like the lighting. A different time of day would have made a big difference.

I assume you took this on an incline and you don't have this crooked. Lighting maybe a little bright on the hay bale field. Otherwise, nice photo and definately meets challenge. 6

Tough work....makes for a long day. Little over exposed on the grass.

might have rotated this just a wee bit counter clockwise. I understand he may be on a hill, but it leaves the pic off-balance for me. like the composition and the colours in this.
