 This shot of Hummel Lake on Lopez Island, WA was taken on a rar morning when the fog wasn't blocking out the sun. There was mist lingering over the lake catching the rays of sun and making this beautiful scene. I bracketed the exposure and determine that this one (underexposed by 2/3 stop) gave the best results. The sky was blown out on the others, but the boat was exposed better. I decided the sky was more important.

Curves
Color Balance to bring out the orange tint
Rotate slightly to straighten the horizon
Resize
USM

lovely image, shame that the boat is so dark. Maybe using multiple layers of the same image you could have brought this out and kept the sky exposed as it is?!?!? good luck!

If only the foreground were just a touch lighter so you could see the detail of the rock and the boat. Nice composition.

Little too dark in the foreground, I like the reflection in the lake and the purple and blue tones are working for you in this shot.

As lighting changes by the minute you captured a lovely sunrise, great sky refelection on the water. the skiff in the reeds on shore make this more than a sunrise. Good luck with this sunrise study. -8-

One of the best so far and there have been some good ones! Maybe a little more detail on the boat, but nonetheless, a lovely picture.
