I shot this in Key West at a sunset festival. This guy did a whole juggling fire routine and then proceeded to walk a tight rope on the pier! I'm not sure how it will go over, but I like it.

Post Processing:
- brightness/contrast
- selective burn to create full silhouette
- cloned out bright lights in background
- curves
- selective color
- levels
- curves again
- image size
- selective desaturation of sections of water

Find there is not enough contrast between the sky and the person. Over all the picture is very dark except where the sun set is.

Very creative. I know you will get knocked but doing a silhouette. I am also sure you got plenty of "This is too dark" but I actually like darker photos and this one works well. Good job and the centered composition actually works well with this photo. (8)

the upper half of the person blends in with the sky, maybe something can be done to pop him off of the background. Nice concept!

What is this magical image exhibiting this feat and then with such a liscious background. Bumping up.

An interesting shot and one that is visually compelling. My critique on this is that the top of the figure gets lost in the deep hues of the blue sky in the upper portion of the image. His/her body is not nearly as well defined as the lower half from the waist down. Perhaps a slight change in position of the camera as this was snapped would have been better so that the person would be better defined without losing that shilouette effect. I look at the image and I get the impression that you were also trying to show the person not only walking the tightrope line but the line between the sunset hues and the deep blue night sky. It does appear this way but if you had moved position just a little more perhaps that line of sunset light would have continued down the entire length of the image from left to right. As it stands now that line drops off before reaching the far right hand side of the image.

May just be my monitor, but there are very defined gradiations between the darker sky colors. If this is just me, forget I mentioned it. If you can see them too, is it a post-processing thing? Worth considering if it is. But otherwise, very well done.

Composition: 8
Technical: 7, The figure blends in with the background on my monitor, and loses a lot of the effect you are trying to convey. Nice shot otherwise.

Little bit too dark, in my opinion. Not knowing anything about where and how this was taken, it seems to me like you need a much better composition.

Bit too dark and over sharpened. Good target though.
