 This is my recently retired father. He worked for the fire station for 33 years and I thought this was a good shot to epitomize it. He was unaware that he was posing for a photo.

Did a little USM and some Curves.

I like photo - I think it would have been more powerful had the hand been in focus as well as the face, and the other eye completely in the crop. Otherwise - nice photo. Good luck in the challenge!!

THis is too tightly cropped for my liking. More face and less of the lowerhand into the lens, might even be better in B&W
