| Thanks everyone for your votes and your nice comments, I did not expect this one to score that high at all. This was taken at a lake in Chestnut Hill, MA. I did not do much post-processing to this image other than the regular levels, curves, some exposure adjustments and USM. |

| Love your post-processing on this one, dynamite image. An angle I've rarely seen done effectively. Hmmm. Think I'll add it as a favorite. |

| Ah those wonderful gulls. They just love posing for a camera. Very nicely done. I like the white background. Have seen other background colors, and they seem to distract too much from the image. Nice job!! |

| 8 - Excellent capture, including 'pose' capture. Seemingly very good control of the whites, especially on this light/white background. Really like how the tailfeathers appear almost translucent. Criticism; difficult, a little more detail in the 'fore wings' or even tips, may have made this even better, but likely lose the detail in the face/tail, so who knows. Not sure on the frame, seems a bit 'harsh' (especially the black & thickness) for the delicacy of the main features (feathers) of the bird. |

| I also have a bird shot in the challenge and feel it is at least equal to this one...however...when I really think about it...yours is better so I'll give you 2 points higher than I am currently getting scored.....you get an 8. |

| Just lovely. Could be wrong but I don't think it's very easy to get the right contrast on white against white but you seem to have executed it very effectively. |
