Free Study Out take.

Horse that lives nearby. He is the sweetest thing. He is actually black and white. The weeds in the foreground were incidental and I feel add interest to the shot. I hope I made the right decision for my entry. I really wanted to use this for the free study, but I got another pic last minute, panicked and went with it. My entry has nothing to do with this photo or subject however.

I love the high contrast here, too. and the composition is fabulous! The rail fence and the stalks of grass are such a precise, perfect touch. Perfect image!

I love this. The horse almost looks 3-dimensional against the fence post. I bet this would have done great in the Free Study, but your Free Study shot rocked! Great job.

I agree - I think the weeds add. Beautiful tones rendered.

He wasn't in "The Godfather" was he? ;-)

Cool shot, Kel. I like the editing here. Rustic feeling. Nice work. Good luck on your entry also!

The editing is outstanding. Everything about the shot is great! I love the almost high key feel, the composition, the focus, and the softness in just the right areas. Really beautiful piece of work.

One of the more beautiful horses submitted to DPC. I love the post editing. The strangest things make a shot for me and in this instance, it's the tiny spindly twigs of the plant in the lower right. It's like a little bonus to the already gorgeous shot!!

Another excellent photo Kelly. I love the stupendous definition of his face, the look in his eye, the crop, the placement, the fencepost, the weeds, and I extremely love how the white bg offsets the foreground elements.

That crop is dead-on perfect, imo. If this is an outtake I can't *wait* to see what you submitted!!
