Ouch....congrats on the brown.

Too bright on the flame. It might score higher if it was taken at a higher resolution too.

This is a real gem. It conveys an intimate feeling of warmth and is very pleasing to look at. It would not have the same impact if it was larger or in focus.

total brilliance good luck for the blue... or is it brown?.. either way i give you a 10 i like it

The concept is charming and well composed. The technical quality of the image is very poor and keeps this from being much higher. My first thought was a 1 or 2, but the charm of the piece brings it up to a 4. View the tutorials to receive help on sizing and preparing for challenges. Good luck in the future.

Image is way too small and pixelated. The image itself appears to have potential, but it's simply too hard to see. This site has some good tutorials on how to resize images for posting. Keep shooting.

The background is not the best. This looks over sharpened and possibly out of focus. :(

Your idea was good, but unfortunatly (as you probably allready know) the size and clarity are not very good. I think if it would be in focus and bigger, it would have a "painterly" warm feeling. good luck next time ;)

composition is very good on this. Like the shadows and light halos. Looks like there is a lot of pixelization though it is hard to tell the quality of the shot because of the size of the picture

Whoa. I'd strongly suggest you try browsing through the FAQs on the site to learn a little more about how to best process an image before submitting it. This is horribly pixelated, and only 3K (out of 150K you could submit). Best of luck with future entries :)

kind of blurry, kind of small. real shame because i love the atmosphere and the composition!

This image is far to small to be judged fairly. Please consider using a larger image size in the future. It appears to be a webcam image to judge by the quality. The grain is very predominant. If you are able to, try experimenting with the ISO on your camera. There does not appear to be any sharpness to the image. The 1/4 of black is adding little to the composition.

This photo is extremely small, and it may have been your sizing factor that distorted the image so much. It is FULL of noise, and blur, and its too bad because it looks like you got a really nice star effect to the flame. Unfortunately, I had to vote this my lowest of a one for very bad composition and size.

This image just is not very clear. It is clear enough to see that it's a candle... but you can see no other detail.
12/13/2005 09:10:15 AM
This is too small and badly compressed to make a real judgement on.
12/13/2005 09:00:27 AM
I guess this is from a cell phone, very nice but image qualitiy is very bad. Good luck.
12/13/2005 04:56:21 AM
This image is too small and pixelated to do justice to the idea.
12/12/2005 06:33:22 PM
I am not sure what is going on, but it looks very grainy. There are some pixel artifacts in the image.

2 - Met the Challenge quite well in my opinion - "Use candlelight to create the impact of your photo.". Criticism; needs 640 (in this case width), there is also pixelation/jpeg loss/something in your shot so perhaps experimenting with your editing software learning about compression and image resizing will help you in the future. I can't quite discern what is at the background, fabric perhaps, so unfortunately I cannot even offer any suggestions as I can't make out the potential. What I can however see is that you have used ".. candlelight to create the impact of your photo.", however the size and quality need attention.

Not easily quotable photograph, the whole is fuzzy
