 I wanted to fill the frame evenly for this particular shot. I was careful to place the stem of the bamboo in the upper left corner so the viewer could easily follow the pattern of the bamboo. I chose to use side lighting and a small amout of water to add additional texture. I also used macro and a rust suede backdrop.

Super point of view here, and the lighting is so soft and nice. The colors seem slightly hazy or not as saturated as they might be, but this photo still works very nicely for me.

The colors are wonderful, very oriental. And the compostion is perfect. Very good photograpy. This is something that should be framed.

Great choice of background color. Almost like a rust color. Contrasts very well with the green.

is this stuff "really" bamboo it's soft and pithy inside anyway good focus but if you were going to put water droplets I'd put more than this and try to get a slightly sharper focus a 7
